This week´s activity will
continue to work on audiovisual content. We are going to use a digital online
resource to create a short comic-a-like story. It will have at least six panels
or frames. Remember that the story needs an introduction, a body and an ending.
Here you have a tutorial for the
tool, STORYBOARDTHAT:
We think it is very intuitive and that you will love the lots of options that it offers.
Once you have looked at the
previous video you have to surf to storyboardthat.com. A registration is
needed, then you can start with “Create a storyboard”. Now you get to the main
interface. At the headboard you have several drop down menus such as Scenes,
Characters, Textables… Just click on some of them and you will see the great
amount of items you can use to draw your story. Behind the headboard there is
another board full of options, related to the topics on the headboard.
The central zone of the interface
contains the vignettes you are working on. Below this space we find a ribbon
where you can modify the cells or vignettes. You can add, move, delete or copy
them. And very important, the Save icon. Once you finish your comic you will
save it and return to the main menu, this one:
Here you press on Download and
these options will appear:
You can choose between Image
Pack, High-Res Image, PDF, PowerPoint or Animated GIF. One of this options will
suit your story better than the others, try the results.
And finally there you are! Your
story is ready to be sent to your teachers!

Have a funny week!
